Negative To Positive

I will often take several HUNDRED photographs in one location, much less one day.  Later, my time is consumed in the  selection process.  “Which one of these best expreses the mood, the sensation, the message?  Which qualifies for the next step?”

I was laid over in California when this piece was inspired.  Strolling the sidewalks of Caswell,  following a gentle spring rain.  I remember as the rain subsided, being frustrated at the fact that I’d just had the truck and trailer washed that morning.

Months later, after “Rainy Night Sidewalk” was completed, I didn’t mind the fact that I left Caswell, with a water-spotted truck!

Rainy Night Sidewalk

“Stop. Go. Walk. Don’t Walk. When glancing down into a puddle on the sidewalk waiting for the light to change, I was amazed at how it all works together.”
